Hazards Consultancy is a process safety and operational-risk consultancy based in Campinas, São Paulo, established in 1999 and describing itself as a South American leader in the field. Its work is built around Process Safety Management aligned to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 and the CCPS Risk-Based Process Safety framework, applied across chemical, pharmaceutical, food, consumer-goods, petrochemical and many other sectors. The firm facilitates the complete cycle of hazard-and-operability studies — Hazop leading into LOPA (layer-of-protection analysis) and then to SIL determination for safety instrumented functions — and offers HAZOP variants including c-Hazop (control/PLC), e-Hazop (electrical) and s-Hazop (SIS), as well as procedure and human-factors HAZOPs drawing on Trevor Kletz's original technique. Alongside HAZOP it delivers HAZID, HIRA, What-If, FMEA, FMECA and Bow-Tie studies, prepares as-built P&IDs and Process Safety Information to ISA 5.1 for use in PHAs, and supports incident investigation, management of change and pre-startup safety review, PSM baseline assessment and auditing, and process-safety training. Much of the work can be delivered remotely.
