Engineering Safety Consultants (ESC), part of Environmental Resources Management, is a UK consultancy specialising in functional safety (IEC 61508 / IEC 61511) that offers Process Hazard Analysis studies including HAZOP as part of the risk-analysis process. Each HAZOP study is led and facilitated by one of ESC's several experienced HAZOP chairs, using suitable guidewords and the firm's bespoke ProSET PHAComp software to produce a structured, consensus-based study and report. Beyond HAZOP, ESC provides HAZID, Control HAZOP (CHAZOP) and 'What-If' analysis, together with SIL determination and verification, quantitative risk assessment, functional safety management and COMAH safety-case support for onshore and offshore projects.
