hazop.cc launches: the HAZOP consulting market, indexed
Today we’re launching hazop.cc: a free, independently curated directory of HAZOP consultants — firms and independent chairs — searchable by region, industry, and service.
Why this exists
The HAZOP consulting market is strange. Demand is structural (OSHA PSM alone forces a PHA revalidation at least every five years, and new hydrogen, ammonia, battery, and CCS projects keep adding studies), yet the market itself is nearly invisible. There’s no place to see who’s active, where, in which industries — not for the plants hiring facilitators, and not for the consultants competing with each other.
Buyers solve it with word-of-mouth. Consultants solve it with LinkedIn and conference hallways. Both deserve better.
What’s live today
The directory. 21 listings at launch, from global firms to independent chairs, each with services, industries, regions, and a one-line editorial take on where they fit. Listings are free, compiled from public information, and always will be free to browse. If you’re listed and want to correct, extend, or remove your entry — contact us; we act same-day.
The guides. Evergreen references we’ll keep updated: how to choose a HAZOP consultant, what a study costs, and chair vs. scribe.
The Chair, our daily newsletter — written for working HAZOP professionals first. Industry news, contracts and projects, standards moves, new listings, and a running sense of the competitive landscape. One short email a day.
What’s next
A cost and day-rate survey (anonymous, published as open benchmarks — the data this market conspicuously lacks), verified listings, and per-region and per-industry directory pages. If there’s something you want tracked, tell us.
